Lyn Northey

Lyn is the lead architect for the Videna National Sports Complex project for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Para Pan American Games. She joined Pattern as a Senior Designer in early 2017 to lead the Worcestershire Parkway rail project, a new rural station serving both the Cotswolds and Birmingham to Bristol lines. Lyn brings with her an ability to work effectively with large multi-disciplinary teams under tight time constraints and budgets. Overall she works to balance project needs and client objectives without compromise to the delivery of high-quality architecture.


A registered architect in Canada, Lyn brings over 12 years of professional experience leading project teams through all stages of design and construction documentation with a focus on the higher education sector. As an associate with an award-winning firm in Toronto, Lyn was the project architect for an addition to an existing two-storey classroom building for Humber College – designed to support the informal and spontaneous interactions that inspire creative thinking. The importance of these flexible, non-traditional learning space was also modelled in the facility’s classrooms, which can be quickly reconfigured to accommodate a wide variety of educational models. She was also the project architect for the planning and design of the new Learning Resource Commons at Humber College. The new 6-storey building includes a library and information commons, student services, the liberal arts and sciences faculty and college administration.
