Pedro is a highly qualified architect with experience managing and designing sports, residential, office and retail venues. His professional and academic interests are focused on understanding and modeling spatial and economic variables of complex, large-scale architectural and masterplanning projects. He enjoys projects that generate positive and sustainable urban solutions.
Pedro brings his skills as a project manager to Pattern, currently in the role of design manager for the Videna sports cluster work in ongoing projects. As the Project Manager for Al Rayyan Stadium and Precinct, Pedro was responsible for managing the construction phase through to delivery of an award-winning stadium and precinct for FIFA World CUP Qatar 2022, worth $450 million and spanning 590,000m2. This involved the daily coordination of huge volumes of information across an inter-continental design team (Poland, Qatar, Oman, India), as well as developing and implementing improved BIM strategies.
Pedro studied Architecture and a Masters in Real Estate Project Management, both at University of Chile. He graduated from the Bartlett Faculty of Architecture at University College London with an MSc in Spatial Design: Architecture and Cities. While at university, Pedro carried out extensive research in ‘Urban Regeneration’ and ‘Urban Economics’. Professionally, Pedro has developed residential, commercial and large-scale urban projects. He also has academic experience as a university lecturer in Project Management at the Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile.
