Vallie is a registered architect in Greece and she also earned her MArch in Architectural Design from The Bartlett School of Architecture – UCL, with a distinction. Her final research project won the Bronze Prize in the Bartlett’s B-Pro Show. The project focused on fully automating the assembly of steel structures made of discrete prefabricated elements through the use of industrial robots. Vallie’s main research interests include the automation of design and construction processes, implementation of computational techniques within the design process and leveraging them in problem-solving, as well as new paradigms of design representation and visualization. In Pattern, she is an architectural assistant, involved in all stages of design and construction, keen on utilizing constantly arising opportunities from design and spatial complexities. Vallie has been an integral part of Pattern’s parametric team, developing the facade packages for the VIDENA National Sports Complex in Peru, for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
