Rob is an Associate based at Pattern’s Edinburgh studio.

Since joining in 2016 to establish Pattern Edinburgh, Rob has been involved in leading projects for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Para Pan American Games and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament. Venues include an Olympic-class aquatic centre in Peru and an Olympic-class indoor sports arena and Olympic class Aquatics Centre for Qatar Foundation’s – Education City in Doha, Qatar.
Rob is a highly competent and experienced architect with nearly 20 years post-graduate experience handling complex high-value projects within education, healthcare, residential, office/retail and leisure/sports sectors across the UK, Ireland and internationally. Rob is a graduate of Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen (with a post-graduate diploma in Conservation) and also studied at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. Before joining Pattern, Rob worked for RMJM and latterly Oberlanders Architects during which he successfully led teams responsible for a complex refurbishment project and a new build education project for two established Edinburgh Universities. Currently, Rob is the project manager for our Education City stadium project for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.
